36.2 weeks - Doctor Blogging.

I went into my OBGYN today knowing there have been some changes since my last visit 2 weeks ago. I know my body pretty well... And I was right... There was change.

I am 90% effaced, and 1 centimeter dilated.

I was the same with Jake at 37.6 weeks, and had my water broke a week later (38.6 weeks). I feel the same as I did with Jake towards the end, I'm only 36.2 weeks. They say you are usually earlier than you were with your first child. I was 8 days early with Jake.

Yesterday, I had an ultrasound to measure the most accurate weight/size of the baby for VBAC purposes. It looks as if this baby is already measuring around 7 1/2 pounds, and I'm measuring 38 weeks. Not bad considering I've gained a total of 30 lbs. This is obviously just an approximate finding. Until this baby is actually here, we will not really know, right? But, it gives us a good idea where we are. I am all baby! Big belly now!

My doctor said this is actually what she likes to see for VBAC's. I'm progressing early on, and the baby is measuring full term, this is ideal. I know I could go weeks more... but, seeing my water broke fairly quickly after my effacement and dilation, this is all great news! My doctor said she thinks I'll have the baby in the next week or two. HOLY MOLY! This is really happening! This baby is going to be here soon! EXCITING and nerve racking all at the same time. :)

Last night I bought my double stroller (I went with the BOB Revolution Duallie), and all the other things  I needed. The babies room is completed, and my bag is packed. I have the proper people in place to watch over Jake, and I'm feeling ready. I can't wait to hold my baby boy! The name we chose for this baby is perfect! I love the meaning and it's very special to Grant and I. I just couldn't be happier.

Now, I just pray for a safe VBAC delivery. The health of the baby is my biggest concern. I'm just so excited to be able to have this opportunity. I will not be disappointed if I end up having a c section. As long as the outcome is a healthy little boy!

Here I am at 36 weeks! Look at my belly! :)

34 weeks - Doctor Blogging.

Today, I went to my every 2 week appointment. Everything looks good. Blood pressure is good, I haven't become swollen yet, and overall feeling pretty good. The downside of pregnancy for me is definitely the heartburn. I have it pretty much all day. I refuse to take anything but Tums. I only have a few weeks left, right? I've made it this far... I can do it! ;)

My belly is starting to feel really heavy, and I starting to actually sit and rest here and there through out the day. I'm not a napper, but I took my first nap during this pregnancy this week. Yesterday, Jake took a 2 1/2 hour nap, and for about 45 minutes after I cleaned the house and got cleaned up, I shut my eyes. It was so nice! I was so refreshed when I woke up. Jake's naps are from about 11/11:30am to about 1:30/2pm. So, I manage to get lots done during that time. I can accomplish most things when he's awake, but I like to spend that time with him instead of cleaning or prepping for other things. I think going forward I will take some of that time to sit and rest.

My doctor checked to see if I was dilated or effaced today. I was complaining a little about the pressure so she wanted to check it out. Sure enough I'm about 20/30% effaced. No dilation. Head is really low, in fact she could actually feel his head! This is still VERY early. My pregnancy with Jake was the same way. If I continue to progress the chances of a successful VBAC are much greater! They don't induce and they rarely let you go past your due date. I went into labor at 38.6 weeks with Jake... The day before my c section. :)

In 2 weeks I go to see the Ultrasound Tech that specializes in the babies measurements. We need to start monitoring how big he is or how big he is getting. Today I was back to 34 weeks pregnant. 2 weeks ago I was measuring 2 weeks ahead. So, this will be the most accurate way of finding out. The next day I will see my regular doctor to go over the size and do my 36 week check up. After that... I go weekly!

CRUNCH TIME! I can't believe I've made it to the home stretch. I'm so thankful for all of my good friends, and family that have supported, and encouraged me during these times. Grant has been amazing, and I'm so happy to have a husband that is so hands on. Jake has been the most wonderful little man loving on me and making me smile all day long. Seeing his smile and his laughter makes me want more of these blessings! I'm so happy and fortunate to be able to add another family member to this growing family Grant and I are creating.

Here is what I'm looking like these days:

VBAC watch 2012...

I hit the every 2 week appointment phase of pregnancy! Yesterday I went into the doctor with the thought the baby had flipped to breech. As soon as the doctor walked in the room, I told her my fears. Since I had one breech baby, the chances of another breech baby are pretty high. This baby moves so much, so I figured he had flipped.

He didn't! My little munchkin stayed! And the doctor said he's really far down as well. She said she'd be shocked if he flipped now. It can happen, but with the position he's in, it would be quite the challenge for him. WHAT A RELIEF!

Here are some other things I found out... My little man is measuring 2 weeks ahead again. He is either going through growth spurts or he's going to be big. I'm aiming for a growth spurt! With a VBAC, he should be an average size, not super large. I'm naturally a healthy eater, so all the weight I've gained it going straight to this baby! I've gained about 17 pounds so far. I would like to stay in the 30 pound range. Normal is 25-30 pounds per pregnancy. I think I gained about 39/40 pounds with Jake. But, I started out pretty skinny with Jake. Don't think I completely lost all of my baby weight for baby #2. Seeing that I was only about 8 months out! ha! Anyhow, I don't stress about weight. I enjoy the pregnancy. I eat what I crave (in moderation), and I like to eat healthy for this growing boy!

A lot of people have been emailing about VBAC's and my decision to have one. They ask why? It really is a personal preference. I never wanted a c section with Jake. I was devastated when they told me I had to have one since he was breech. At that point I was consulted about a VBAC (if I decided to have another pregnancy). I made up my mind back in August of 2010 that I would attempt one if I got pregnant again.

Knowing I don't have family close to help me... I don't want to be recovering from a cesarean. I want to be able to be as "normal" as possible for both my little boys. Grant can't work and be a helper at home. I will have our babysitter come in and help a few hours here and there, but it's mainly going to be me. I need to be in fighting shape! Keeping things as normal as possible for Jake, and caring for a newborn! :)

There are so many websites with good information you can google or ask your doctor if your interested in one as well. I know I've been googling for years! My doctor and the hospital is fully equipped to handle VBACs. And you need to make sure your doctor is comfortable with your decision and is also trained in case of an emergency. Not all hospitals will let you do them as well. Long Beach Memorial is a great hospital! They have one of the best neonatal facilities in the country. Not only do I have a great doctor, I will be at a great hospital. It's all God's will.

Factors on my side for a VBAC are:
1. I progressed with my first pregnancy. I dilated, effaced, and my water even broke.
2. The baby is head down.
3. I'm in good health.
4. I've only had 1 c section.
5. At this point my son is "normal size"

Factors that would make me not eligible:
1. He flips to breech.
2. He becomes huge.
3. I develop health problems, ex: high blood pressure.

I have also made the decision to have a cesarean by my due date if I haven't had the baby before that. Past 40 weeks you run the risk of low fluids and baby will keep growing and perhaps get too big. So, if I naturally haven't gone into labor on my own (they don't give you pitocin in a VBAC), then I will have a cesarean on March 18th. I'm not scheduling anything as of yet. I'm going to continue down this path and see what happens.

Thanks for reading my journey! God has a plan... I know that. What is meant to be will be. I will not be disappointed if I can't have a vaginal delivery. I will accept that it's for the best for the baby and myself. I'm just excited for the possible opportunity.

The baby's room is really coming along! All the furniture is in place, I'm just waiting for the bedding and pictures to be made. I'll post a picture later this week of the beginning phase!

Have a great day!

32 weeks - 8 months

I turned 8 months yesterday. I went from small belly to big belly overnight! I've been reading old blog posts from when I was pregnant with Jake and it brings tears in my eyes. Being pregnant is such a gift. Life is a gift!
Weight gain:
I believe I'm at about 15 pounds. I'm so active with Jake, I'm pretty sure I'm burning lots of calories. Plus, with the heartburn I've been eating pretty darn healthy and light. I just make sure I'm snacking all day!
Pregnancy symptoms:
The heartburn has gotten worse. Grant swears I was like this with Jake too. I slept on the couch 3 times last week, because almost sitting straight up is better. Plus, this baby is moving like crazy. Not so much the kicking... It's the rolling and moving that keeps me up. He's pretty active!
Doctor blogging:
I go to the OBGYN every 2 weeks now! I actually go in tomorrow. So, I will update on that blog!

Here is an updated picture of me:
This weekend was busy... like usual! I had 2 birthdays to attend and 2 important games to watch! ha! I celebrated my good friend Liz's birthday at the race track on Friday night, and my other good friend Katy's birthday was celebrated on Saturday!

I seriously have a knack for the horse races! I'm not kidding. This is my 6th time going and I always leave a winner. I've learned how to read the stats and then with luck... I win! I usually play the winning horse, and I do an exacta box (with 3 horses). That means, I bet on the horse I feel will win the entire race, and then I choose the top 3 finishers (and with the exacta box they can come in any order). Anyhow, mama got a pair of Tom Ford glasses out of this trip! woo hoo! ;)
I also took Jake to get his hair cut... again! I take him every month. This kiddo has lots of hair! It's thick, wavy, and blonde. I'd like to think he has my hair... but, I'm sure he's got Grant's hair too! ;) Look at how cute my little monkey is! Jake is such a happy boy. The older he gets the sweeter he gets! I'm serious! If I say, "Jake, give momma a kiss", he comes running up to me and plants a big one on me! And then he hugs me and pats my back. I just melt! I wonder how he'll be with his brother? I'm sure he'll wonder what the heck the baby is doing here... but, he'll adjust and love him like crazy! The thing we'll have to work on is sharing. Jake is used to being the only one... so, the challenge will be sharing me, toys, and time. But, I will do my best to keep things as "normal" as possible. I read a great article my friend posted on becoming a mommy of 2. It was a good read, and it gave me some tips. The majority of what I hear is that it's tough in the beginning and then it gets easier as they get older. They will be about 17 months apart... I'm up for the challenge... obviously!

Well, until my doctor appointment blogging... have a wonderful Monday!

30 weeks - 9 weeks to go!

Technically, I would say 10 weeks to go... but, if I have my c section then I have 9 weeks to go! I'm officially in count down mode. The furniture for the nursery is in route to my house, and I think I'm having the babies bedding made. I will make that decision by the end of the week. Color scheme is royal blue, grey, and a hint of yellow. Everything is going smoothly. Other than my heartburn. Just like with Jake. Wonder if this baby will have lots of hair as well?

We think we have the name officially! We are between 2 names. We aren't saying the names yet. Because we keep going back and forth. Both names have meanings, and are very special to us. We actually might wait until he's born to decide! We'll see if we can wait to choose. :)

It's just so hard to believe I'm in count down mode again. Amazing. I'm so excited to be meeting my new son. Grant is thrilled beyond belief! What parent isn't excited, right?

My doctors appointment is on Tuesday, so we'll be getting the update on size, health, and what position he's in. I'm feeling better every day since I was in the hospital earlier in the week. Thanks for everyone that has called and messaged me. I'm have such incredible friends. Knowing that I have a group of girlfriends that I can count on at any given time is so nice. Makes me so happy.

Here is an updated picture I took. I had to take it myself or I'd forget to have Grant take one of me. I was really good about taking pictures of Jake... but, now we're so busy... it's hard to remember.
Here is a photo when I was 30 weeks with Jake. We were on our babymoon.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

29 weeks - 4D ultrasound

Today I got to see this lil guy:
Isn't he perfect? I think he looks very different from Jake. Well if you compare the 4D ultrasounds that is. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my little men grow! He kept smiling! It was so sweet. A happy little guy already!

I have more exciting news.....

HE ISN'T BREECH!!! Well, so far that is. I'm hoping that he doesn't flip. If he doesn't flip I have a new plan. No c section. :) It depends on a few factors though. My due date is March 18. I'm scheduled for a c section on either March 10 or March 11. But, if this baby stays head down, and I naturally progress (dilate, efface, etc), then I will be heavily monitored and will go for it. Factors against me would be, he flips to breech, or I don't progress. Having my sons so close in age is also a factor against me.

I'm just so excited I might have the opportunity! I have been praying for a VBAC, but know that God is the one in charge. So, I have faith that what is meant to be will be. I won't be upset either way. End result... healthy and happy little boy!

Today was only my 4D ultrasound. My regular doctor appointment is next Tuesday. I will have more details on the baby then! So, check back next week for the update.

If your wondering why I haven't posted anything about Christmas yet... I left my camera in Boise. So, that is currently en route to my house... Will be posting those soon... I hope!

Mom of boys...

I have read so many blogs, emails, poems, and so on in regards to this topic. All are heart felt. All are great. I started to think... why haven't I written on this topic? After all, I am a mom to a boy... and another on the way, right?

Growing up I wasn't sure I would have kids. I thought a career, and buying all the designer items was the ONLY way to live. WRONG. Dylan (my younger brother was born when I was 23), my life changed. This little boy was everything to my family (and still is), and I wanted one... one day! Then, I met the man of my dreams. Loving, kind, loyal, sensitive, and most of all... patient. Someone I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Then the talks began. Kids. My husband wanted lots of kids (He told me this from the start... and he wanted them right after we got married too). I knew I wanted 2. I knew I wanted a boy. I always knew I wanted a little boy named Jake. Then God blessed us with him.

How amazing is that? How amazing is it that God is blessing me with another little boy? This will be a house full of little men. Wait, nothing is little in this house... but, ME! I'm 5'4. These boys will protect and love me FOREVER! I'm so lucky!

I have written many letters to my little monkey Jake, and I will continue to. Just like my mom did for my brother and I. When she was happy with us... and when she was mad with us. ;) Grant and I have talked over and over if we will have more kiddos one day and that is still undecided... as for now. I will love and cherish the men in my life. I will strive to be the best mommy/wife I can be. That is what I was meant to be.

Until, March... Here is a letter to my main little man:

Jake Bowman,

You are beautiful, inside and out. I look at you several times a day and wonder how I got so lucky to be your mommy. I love hearing you say... mama. Even if your screaming it. ;) They are the sweetest words. I am your mommy. A very proud mommy. You are so special to me, and everything you do amazes me. Watching you grow into a little boy is priceless. Your growing so fast! Sometimes I wish time would stop. Mainly while I'm holding you and your staring back.

I know there will be many bruises, stitches, and perhaps broken bones in the future... I am prepared to be your nurse. I'm excited to sit on the side lines and scream for you at ALL your sporting events. I'm prepared to take you to your first day of school... and NOT cry. I'm ready for that first heartbreak too. And it will take everything your father has to hold me back from getting involved. I will be here for everything you go through. I will try and make you happy when your sad, and laugh with you when your happy!

I will raise you to love your brother more than anything. I will raise you both to care and protect each other... even when your so mad at each other. You both will fight... but, you will ALWAYS make up. If I do anything in this world it will be for you 2 to be very successful, in everything you do. Always striving for the absolute best.

Thank you for enchring my life with so much love and happiness everyday.

Love you forever,
Mommy

PS. Your dad loves you so much, and is just as proud as I am. He's not a blogger though. ;) Here is a song that your dad had me listen to when we found out that you were a boy. I had tears in my eyes, and still get teary eyed listening to it. You look so much like your daddy! We'll have to see "if your anything like him".

23 Weeks

This pregnancy seems to be flying by. I remember with Jake each week too forever! I read every book I could get my hands on and worked on my registry like it was a second job! jk. ha ha. Now, I'm just going along with the flow. I know I'm so busy with Jake so I don't have much time to think about what's going on. I am keeping my eye on the prize. That's my due date! ;)

So far, I've gained a total of 5 pounds, and I feel good! Just tired. I'm not much of a sleeper, and when I'm pregnant I wake up for a few hours in the middle of the night. I'm usually up around 2am. I have good nights and bad nights with sleep. And the heartburn is back. So, does that mean the wives tale will be true with baby #2? Will he have a full head of hair as well? ;)

Baby number 2 is measuring 2 weeks ahead! The due date is a true date as well. I went in when I was only 4 weeks, so my doctor isn't going to change the date. So, either my little man has either had a growth spurt or he's going to be a big one! Either way I pray for a healthy baby boy!

On Saturday, Grant said he was going to take me out. He asked what I wanted to do and I told him jokingly, "I'd like a massage". Well, the first stop on our night out was Burke Williams. My favorite local spa. We went in for massages, and then we went to one of my favorite local restaurants, Mahe. I ordered lots of cooked rolls, and even had a veggie roll. It was for sure one of my favorite dates we've had! So relaxing! It was awesome. I appreciate my husband so much! He always does little things like this to make me happy! Oh... and I've been sleeping through the night since Saturday. Looks like I need to make sure I'm getting pregnancy massages every month...  (hint hint babe). ;)

I'm eating lots of Thai/Chinese, Mexican, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. When all less fails I eat the peanut butter and jelly. Chicken is NOT something I want with this pregnancy either. I drink lots of water and cranberry juice! I LOVE CRANBERRY JUICE! And the sweets. Oh the sweets. I've been doing a little browsing on Pinterest and found some great recipes. So, I will continue to make the things that look yummy!

Jake has been such a wonderful little guy! He's getting so big. When I hold him he's half the size of me. When Grant holds him... he still looks like a baby. I love being a mom. I can't wait for my second son to get here! I know it's going to be crazy with 2 boys under 2, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. I have a feeling that Jake will be an excellent big brother!

Here is an updated picture of me. I wore this dress when I was 6 months pregnant last year! Next week... I'm 6 months! I can almost start the count down!
Cheers,

Half way point!

It's really hard to believe that I'm half way done with my pregnancy. It's flying by so fast. When I was pregnant with Jake I felt like it went so slowly. Documenting everything going on with him and myself. Now I just roll with the punches... Literally (this little guy is active)! I'm so busy with my 13 month old so I'm having troubles slowing down to take it all in.

However, this week I feel as if I am slowing down. My belly has totally popped out! Maternity jeans still don't stay up, but I'm slowly introducing them again. The heartburn is somewhat keeping me up if I eat spicier items late, and I am starting to feel sleepy. When I was pregnant with Jake I took lots of naps... Now... None. Jake is so smart and busy! He's walking everywhere and getting into everything. I love watching him explore! Seeing him look at something for the first time brings a smile to my face. He's the most adorable little man.

I feel so blessed to be bringing another little guy into our world in 5 months! 5 months!! I went to the doctor today for my anatomy scan and the tech laughed when she saw me! She said at first she thought I was still pregnant but then she realized this was baby #2! I guess 17 months is close... But, they will be best buddies! Inseparable little guys! Melts my heart thinking about it all! :)

As soon as she turned the monitor on I was teary eyed. Life is such a gift. I'm so lucky to be able to go down this beautiful journey again. Here are a picture from my ultrasound today.
Looks like baby #2 is already settling into the wonderful breech position. I know I'm still early on... but, every time I get an ultrasound that's his position. Looks like my dreams of a VBAC are getting further and further from reality. Once you have one breech baby, the chances for another breech baby are quite high. I will have to revisit this topic a little further along. Until then... I have a healthy little man just growing along. I'm also measuring a week ahead. I'm such a happy momma!

Hope you all have a great week!

18 weeks

Today we went to Tanaka Farms with our friends Cory and Kristen to do a little pumpkin picking. We had such a fun time. Jake had a great time and got really upset when we picked him up out of the patch and headed to the check out line. He loved running around and investing things he's never seen before.

Jake picked out our pumpkin(s), and we will carve them this week. Actually, Grant will carve them. I prefer to decorate them without cutting them. I don't like the mess that goes along with that. ;) Leave that to the boys.

I turned 18 weeks yesterday and my bump is starting to show! I'm still not wearing maternity clothes. When I put the jeans on they fall down. So, I've been wearing my belly band.

What's new this week?
~ I felt the baby kick at 17 weeks and 4 days.
~ Craving mexican food still.
~ Cinnamon Rolls with ice cold milk.
~ Anything sweet really... I have to watch myself or I'd eat ever baked good in sight.
~ Sleeping is still terrible. Some nights I sleep the whole way through, and other's I wake several times... and some times up for an hour at a time.
~ Heartburn seems to have went away. I think eating early and staying away from too spicy of foods for dinner is helping. Tum's are still by my night stand.

That's pretty much it. Here is my 18 week picture of the week. I think I'll start taking pictures in the same shirt/pants every week and see how much I grow! But, until next week... here you go!
Here are the pictures from the farm today:
Little monkey likes to run around!
We fed the animals.
 HAPPY GUY!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

17 weeks.

Not a whole lot has changed over here. Still REALLY into cheese sauce with jalapenos. I love Mexican food! I love cookies. Homemade cookies from Sweet Jill's to be exact. They have a really good pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting... I ate that on Thursday and have been craving another slice since! I recently started liking an old childhood favorite cereal as well... cinnamon Life! SO GOOD! And lastly, my favorite drink is cranberry juice! SO SO SO YUMMY!

I haven't gained any weight yet. I'm so busy running after Jake and going on walks with Brady, that I haven't gained anything yet. I am starting to get a belly though. I didn't really start gaining weight with Jake until about half way into my pregnancy. For the most part I eat and exercise and live a pretty healthy lifestyle. I remember that towards the end is when I gained most of my weight.

This past week I had a few nights of heartburn. Tums are now officially next to my night stand. DARN IT! I'm also not sleeping great. I get up around 2ish and think about everything... and nothing. Last night I slept great though!

Last night we headed out for a much needed date night. Grant took me to dinner at LA Live and then we went to the Keith Urban concert. I danced the entire time! I only sat during one of his slow songs and drank water. This was my 6th time seeing Keith. He's so awesome!!! Anyhow, Grant and I had so much fun talking, dancing, and being together. I'm a lucky little lady. Love my boys!
Here are a few pictures from the concert. We had great seats! Baby #2 was moving quite a bit. He's already a country fan as well! ;)

16 weeks - 4 months

I haven't been posting pictures of the baby bump, because I'm now finally getting one. I thought it would be cool to post what is going on with me in the frame that I bought... however, I will have to write bigger next time... it's pretty hard to read.

Things are going very smooth! I felt pretty sick in the beginning of this pregnancy... little bit of nausea. But, now I'm great! I didn't eat a whole lot of stuff until more recently as well. I'm finally starting to crave certain things as well.

This child is just like Grant already! I want cheese sauce every day! If I had cheese sauce I would probably put it on everything I eat. It's so bad! I would have NEVER eaten it if I wasn't pregnant! I have to have jalapenos with it as well. Also, I'm eating Thai and Chinese food. LOVE SPICY THINGS! That is what this baby is getting from me. I was like that with Jake until the heartburn kicked in. So, the plan.... eat spicy until that heartburn keeps me from eating anything with spice! ;)

We think we have a name all picked out... but, I'm not totally ready to announce it. Since I named Jake... Grant had the opportunity for baby #2's first name (of course we have to agree on the name). Grant picked Jake's middle name, and I'll pick baby #2's. It's a good little system for us. We haven't really fought over names. We generally like the same names. So that's good!

Everything is going just peachy! My last appointment went well, and I go back on October 11th. There is nothing better than seeing the little baby grow and hearing that heart beat! I just love him already!

Here are a few pictures from yesterday. I turn a new week every Saturday.

Can you all believe I'm already 4 months??

It's a....

BOY!
We're SO excited! Lots of people thought I was having a girl, but I'm so happy I'm having another boy! I know exactly what to do and how to do it. I am totally a boy mommy! BRING ON THE SPORTS!!! This does mean we MAY have another baby in the future? My cousins all have 2 boys and 1 girl, and Grant's family its that way too. So, maybe we'll have one more baby.... BUT, NOT FOR AWHILE! This mama is going to need some time from making babies until at least one is in school! AND SOME WINE! ;)

Jake is going to have a best friend only 17 months younger than him! We think we even have a name. But, I'm not ready to post that. Grant and I have not fought about names. We actually agree on most of them. So, that has been nice. Grant and I will teach these little boys that they are best friends, and that while they will be competitive, they must strive to be the best THEY can be as individuals, and always protect each other. Brothers should be best friends. I will make sure that I give everything I have in me to teach them that. Us Greeks stick together ya know! ;)
THEY GUYS!

Last night I was able to celebrate my 31st birthday. Some of my closest friends and I went to dinner and then we had the baby reveal. I just had my cake decorated with the color blue. Pretty simple. I had so much fun! After dinner we even danced. Then we pretty much all turned into pumpkins around 11pm and needed to get back to our babies and baby sitters watching our little ones. So funny how things have changed with all of us over the years! Thank you so much for all that came and celebrated with Grant and I. I'm so fortunate for such wonderful friends.
THE GIRLY GIRLS!
Thank you Grant for celebrating my birthday all week. Making me feel special by all that you did for me. I'm one lucky girl. I swear my birthday is officially over now. 2 BOYS! We've always talked about creating a family... and look at us! You are a great dad! Jake loves you so much! He lights up when you walk in the room! I do too! You are my best friend and the love of my life! Thank you for working so hard so that I can stay home and raise our children. Thank you for loving me even when I'm cranky because I'm pregnant and not sleeping again! Thank you for letting me be me. Your my rock, and I appreciate you! Love you more everyday!

Belly pictures to come. I'm officially 14 weeks today! I will post them every weekend. I can't believe I'm back to taking these pictures! I swear I just stopped taking them! ha ha. This go round, no actual bare belly shots. :)

Cheers to health and happiness!

Coming St. Patty's Day 2012...

Baby Stone #2!
Yes, it's true! I'm pregnant with our second baby! I am due March 18, 2012! Jake and baby #2 will be 17 months apart! Grant and I are so excited! We have been praying so much, and feel so lucky that God is going to let us be parents again for the second time!

I've have know for the longest time! I found out when we were visiting my parents over the Fourth of July! Grant had just flown home (a few days earlier for work), and I stayed a little longer with my parents. I wasn't feeling great, so I went to the store and got a test. I took the test... positive! And then I thought... could it be? SO SOON? I decided to take 2 more! All positive. I immediately screamed my mom's name and she came up stairs for the news... and then told my dad, and grandma. Then my mom and I plotted how we would tell Grant! I took a picture of the test, and emailed it to him... I waited patiently for him to get it and call me! He was SOSOSO excited! I went to the doctor when I got home and found out that I was only a little over 4 weeks. Like I said, I have been patiently waiting to scream this news!

Grant and I went yesterday to an early detection ultrasound and already know the sex of the baby as well! We are having a little reveal at my birthday dinner this Friday night. So, check back Saturday for the update! Today was my regular OB appointment. Everything went great, and baby #2 is well on their way! I'm such a happy mommy!

The last few years have been so wonderful. I just feel so lucky and blessed for this opportunity to be a mommy again. I'm so happy, and cannot wait for our second baby to be here! I'm 13 weeks and 3 days. So, I have quite awhile to go... but, it's already going by so fast! Perhaps it's because Jake keeps me so busy? :)

My 30th birthday was exciting because Jake was born just a few days before it, and now my 31st birthday I have the news of baby 2! Thank you to all my friends and family that have called, texted, and facebooked me. I feel so special, and have had an awesome day!

Cheers to another year!
