Asher 3 months

As I said in my last post, not much has changed in the world of Asher. He's sweet, loving, and for the most part easy going. He loves to watch all of us, and smile. When we start talking to him, he talks right back. He's a talker... just like... oh wait... Looks like he has a talkative mommy and daddy! ;) He's very observant. I can't wait to see how personality develops over the next few months. He's very much like Jake in the fact that they are very alert, and communicative. He is different in the way he will let us put him down. Jake LOVED to be held. It was hard to put him down in the beginning. Asher LOVES to be held too, but he won't cry or fuss if you put him down to do something. He's super chill.
Lots of people (including myself) like to try and figure out who the babies look like... But, I remember my great grandmother telling us kids that we look like ourselves. How great is that answer? I like to think that my kids are the best of Grant and I. Even though Jake is Grant's miniature... He is still part of me... somewhere in there. ha ha. And even though Ash takes a little more after my family... there pops up Grant's adorable dimples. I wish I had dimples! I always wanted them. Now, my baby has them! yay!

Asher has been sleeping pretty darn good too! WAY better than Jake did. Jake was up every 3 hours at this particular time. Asher goes down around 9pm and stays down until 3:30am. Last night he was out until 4:30am. Then he was up talking to me for a half and hour. Finally he fell back asleep until 6:30am, and then back out until 8am. :)

He's a big boy. He's in 12 month onesies. I just got in the mail all of his new clothes from BABY GAP. I bought lots of Jake's things from the GAP as well. They have adorable baby/toddler clothes. I bought 12-18 months. I like their clothes to fit a little loose. Who likes to wear tight things? I'm not exactly sure how much he weighs. Next month he goes back for more shots, and will be measured. Right now, I just enjoy this precious little baby. I don't want him to grow up already. I love seeing Jake and Asher interact. Jake gives Asher kisses all through out the day. It's very sweet. Asher lights up when Jake walks in the room. It melts my heart and makes me smile. :)
Have a great weekend!

Asher - 12 weeks old.

Asher is now 12 weeks. He is such a joy. He is easy going, and so very happy. This week he actually turns 3 months old. I remember looking back when Jake was 3 months. Things get easier and easier. Its amazing how things change from week to week. From eating, sleeping, communicating, and to facial expressions. Soon, he'll be sitting and bouncing in his bouncer! I always loved watching Jake bounce and laugh like crazy! Looking forward to that for Asher as well!

Nothing new to report on Ash. He's smiling, talking, and starting to laugh. He puts the biggest smiles on our faces! He's going to bed in his bassinet at 9pm, waking at either 1:30 am or 3:30 am, and then again at 6:30 am for the day. After he eats he usually takes another nap.

We do tummy time, sit up, play on the floor gym, and he LOVES to sit up in his blue lounger chair. He likes to look at whats going on around him. Very observant little monkey!

Here are a few pics.
Asher has the cutest dimples! He's really just the cutest lil guy.

Spider...Woman!

Spiders LOVE me. I'm not kidding. They love me so much, that i get bit every summer. I am SO allergic to spider bites. Once a year I get bit... And bad!
Last week i woke up with a few bites on my arm. As the day went on, my arm got worse. Here is my arm at 7am, and again at 1pm. I was at the doctor by 2pm.

I'm doing better now. We had someone come spray our house this weekend. I did notice another bite last night though. Praying they will all die off now.

My friends tease me and say I have secret spidee sense now... All I can do is laugh. :/

My boys. My life.

I didn't have a chance to post anything in regards to Mother's Day. It's been so busy... Instead of going on and on about how fabulous the day was... because it was (Grant always does an amazing job making sure I'm happy... ALL THE TIME)... I thought I'd post a few pictures of how adorable my little monkeys are. Without them, my life would be so boring. They are the reason for my extreme happiness! I thank God for my little boys, and am so very blessed.

Jake LOVES to wear Grant's shoes!
My boys on Mother's Day.
 Asher sitting up like a big boy!

This picture makes me laugh. Look at all those kiddos?! Grant's best friend Matt and his wife Jodie came over for a BBQ a few weeks ago, and brought their beautiful family. It's funny seeing how are families have grown over the years. Addy is almost a year older than Jake, and their twins are a month older than Asher. It's a great match up for play times.

Tomorrow Asher will be 12 weeks! Where did the time go? It's flying by! I'm so thankful I'm a mommy to 2 beautiful boys. They enrich my life, and I hope that I can give them everything they need to succeed. :)

Cell phone post...

I haven't blogged in awhile because first I filled my computer with so many pictures my memory was full, and then I accidentally spilled water on my keyboard (feeding Asher and doing several other things at the same time). Needless to say, my 2 year old MAC Book Pro died. I'm taking it to the MAC store this week to see what the next step is. Wish me luck! :)

I have LOTS of cell pics to post in the meantime.

Jake is now enrolled in swimming lessons. He goes every Saturday morning. The beginning classes are called survival practices. It teaches children if they are pushed into water or fall in, how to roll on there backs and float, until someone can rescuse them. Then of course they teach them how to swim, and dive underwater to retrieve toys at the bottom of the pool. It's pretty neat. Jake isn't the biggest fan of the lessons. I think it's because it's with an instructor and not with us. He usually LOVES the water. When I go I usually have Asher, so I can't get in to help. I look forward to him liking it more and learning how to dive in on his own!
Here is my little man. Isn't he a cutie pie? My little Asher pants. I love him to pieces. He is such a good boy. He's so happy! He rarely cries. He likes to sit up and watch everything around him. He loves to watch Jake play, and have us talk to him. He immediately starts chatting back! I just love to squeeze him! :)
He has such a tough life, doesn't he? That's a 12 month onesie he's wearing! BIG BOY!
Jake's new do. Love these adorable boys of mine!
Over the weekend my girlfriends and I did the Revlon Run/Walk. What an emotional day that was. I got teary eyed several times. Walking around women had papers pinned on their backs that said if they were survivors or if they were running for a survivor or for someone that passed. I felt so grateful for my health, and the health of my loved ones. Tomorrow isn't promised.
My monkey on Mother's Day. This little rascal made me an official mommy in 2010!
I will upload the other pictures from my camera soon. I'll try and get on our home computer and download what I still have on my Canon. I'm thankful Grant backed up my computer a few weeks ago. Only a few pictures were probably lost.

Have a great day!

Asher - 2 months (April 24)

I took Asher to his 2 month doctor appointment on Tuesday morning. Can you believe that this kid is even bigger than Jake? It's hard to believe... but, its true. Asher is 2 lbs heavier, and 1 1/2 inches longer than Jake was at this age. The doctor laughed when he measured Asher. He said that Asher is off the charts in height, and in the 95th percentile for weight. He's a big boy. He is going great!

Asher is so happy. He's very mellow. I can put him in his bouncy chair and he'll watch his brother play or look up at us, talk, smile, and now giggle. Jake was a happy lil guy too... but, not nearly as mellow. He wouldn't sit in his chair. He had to be moving. While Asher is a busy lil munchkin, he also likes to observe. It's so cool seeing the different personalities.

Here are the stats on Asher this month:
* 14 lbs 1oz - 95th percentile.
* 25 inches - 100th percentile.
* Cooing, smiling, talking, and little sweet giggles.
* Interacting with us.
* He is such a happy baby. He cries when he's hungry and has gas. Other than that... he's smiling and watching everything around him.
* Nicknames: Ash, Asher pants, AJ, Ashy.
* Still wearing size 2 diapers.
* Wearing 6 - 9 month or 6 - 12 month clothing (pending brand)
* sleeping is improving through the night. At least 4 - 6 hour stretches at night.
* very alert and follows of our voices and smiles at us.
* already loves his brother. He watches Jake play.
 And then over the weekend, Grant's best friend Matt came over with his family. Adelyn is about a year older than Jake, and the twins are a month older than Asher. It's a good match up. Jake and Addy played with each other and had a great time together. We laughed so hard watching them interact. Look forward to having them over again soon!
