Winter in California

It rained all day Monday... and now back to sunny skies! Today was about 80 degrees. I know it's hard to believe, but its true.

Today, I was going to head to Disneyland with my friend Liz and her daughter, and then I remembered that I'm 8 months pregnant and have to use the restroom every hour. Plus, lifting Jake is a little more of a challagene. I decided to wait to do that with my muscle man... and stay home and play here!

So, we took it outside!
Jake has play stations all over. Outside, inside, in the car, etc. ;)
He first started on his mat.
Played a little bball.
Went on the swings and on his slide.
He was so dirty we took a bath early!
Then we had tangelos from the tree in our backyard.
We finally read books and colored.

Today was a good day!

18 weeks

Today we went to Tanaka Farms with our friends Cory and Kristen to do a little pumpkin picking. We had such a fun time. Jake had a great time and got really upset when we picked him up out of the patch and headed to the check out line. He loved running around and investing things he's never seen before.

Jake picked out our pumpkin(s), and we will carve them this week. Actually, Grant will carve them. I prefer to decorate them without cutting them. I don't like the mess that goes along with that. ;) Leave that to the boys.

I turned 18 weeks yesterday and my bump is starting to show! I'm still not wearing maternity clothes. When I put the jeans on they fall down. So, I've been wearing my belly band.

What's new this week?
~ I felt the baby kick at 17 weeks and 4 days.
~ Craving mexican food still.
~ Cinnamon Rolls with ice cold milk.
~ Anything sweet really... I have to watch myself or I'd eat ever baked good in sight.
~ Sleeping is still terrible. Some nights I sleep the whole way through, and other's I wake several times... and some times up for an hour at a time.
~ Heartburn seems to have went away. I think eating early and staying away from too spicy of foods for dinner is helping. Tum's are still by my night stand.

That's pretty much it. Here is my 18 week picture of the week. I think I'll start taking pictures in the same shirt/pants every week and see how much I grow! But, until next week... here you go!
Here are the pictures from the farm today:
Little monkey likes to run around!
We fed the animals.
 HAPPY GUY!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

17 weeks.

Not a whole lot has changed over here. Still REALLY into cheese sauce with jalapenos. I love Mexican food! I love cookies. Homemade cookies from Sweet Jill's to be exact. They have a really good pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting... I ate that on Thursday and have been craving another slice since! I recently started liking an old childhood favorite cereal as well... cinnamon Life! SO GOOD! And lastly, my favorite drink is cranberry juice! SO SO SO YUMMY!

I haven't gained any weight yet. I'm so busy running after Jake and going on walks with Brady, that I haven't gained anything yet. I am starting to get a belly though. I didn't really start gaining weight with Jake until about half way into my pregnancy. For the most part I eat and exercise and live a pretty healthy lifestyle. I remember that towards the end is when I gained most of my weight.

This past week I had a few nights of heartburn. Tums are now officially next to my night stand. DARN IT! I'm also not sleeping great. I get up around 2ish and think about everything... and nothing. Last night I slept great though!

Last night we headed out for a much needed date night. Grant took me to dinner at LA Live and then we went to the Keith Urban concert. I danced the entire time! I only sat during one of his slow songs and drank water. This was my 6th time seeing Keith. He's so awesome!!! Anyhow, Grant and I had so much fun talking, dancing, and being together. I'm a lucky little lady. Love my boys!
Here are a few pictures from the concert. We had great seats! Baby #2 was moving quite a bit. He's already a country fan as well! ;)

Jake's 1st Trip to Disneyland!

I managed to wait until Jake was officially 1 to take him to Disneyland. I figured any early and he wouldn't really enjoy it. He's still a little young, but he did have a blast. He loves music and will start dancing as soon as he hears a melody!
Cousin Amanda drove down from Burbank and we all went on Sunday. It was pretty crowded so we only got on a few rides. We went into the Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, and Small World. Jake was laughing, and talking so much! People were laughing and smiling at Jake because he was enjoying it so much. He loved those. We ate lunch, and then got our annual passes! Yes, folks... we are now officially pass holders. Anyone that knows me, knows that this is NOT my thing. I have lived in So Cal my entire life and can count on both hands how many times I've been. I was not a Disney kid. But, my child is. So, now I am. :)
Grant and I had so much fun! Watching Jake and looking at his expressions made the decision clear. We would be going back again and again. It is very busy and lots of walking so I don't know how long I'll make it in the future with being pregnant... But, going with Grant is great. He holds everything. I almost can't believe how strong Grant is. Holding the stroller, baby, and backpack as we entered the bus to Disneyland (when you park off Harbor you have to collapse the strollers and ride the bus over to the park). I just walked on and off with my camera bag. I asked to help... but, G wouldn't let me. I'll be going back all by myself in a few weeks... so, I'll only carry what we for sure need. :)

Here are a few pictures from the day. I can't wait to go back and attempt Toon Town where Jake can actually run around! :)
Clapping like crazy in the Tiki Room!
Leaning forward to listen to the tour guide on the Jungle Cruise.

Jake started getting a little tired... He missed his nap with all the excitement.
Kisses for mama.
Holding on and looking side to side on Small World.
Getting ready for Halloween!!
Watching Goofy dance live! He loved the music and characters!
Cheers.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my handsome husband!

Grant makes me feel special so many days during the year so I want to show him that he is special too! Grant makes a big deal about my birthday, mothers day, anniversaries, etc. I try and do things through out the year that make him happy, but he usually tops what I do! So, I want to make sure this birthday is special. Not by doing anything crazy, just making sure he feels loved and appreciated by friends and family. :)

So many people came! Friends and family everywhere! And this year... LOTS OF BABIES! We bounced back and forth from the bay to the house. It was a beautiful day out! Perfect for a beach day! I'm so happy that everything turned out great. I had one of our favorite Mexican food places cater the birthday, and I made cupcakes. What a mellow fun weekend so far!

Since it's Memorial Day weekend, I went with an American theme (party planner in me)! Here are some pictures of the party.

Grant went to play golf with buddies this morning, and I'm getting ready for a walk with my bestie and Jake! I'll blog more later.

Here's some pics!

Mornings

My favorite part of the day is my mornings with Jake, and Brady. Jake wakes up at 6:30am. When he wakes up, he just sits there and waits for us to come in and get him. He doesn't cry. He just waits. :)

I feed and change him, and then we come downstairs. I pack him up and pack the dog up and we head out for our morning walk. It's usually around 8am. Sometimes we go around 9am. It's so peaceful around the bay. No one out yet, just the people that live around here. I'm able to think and pray as I walk around and watch the ocean. It's nice to be able to clear my head.
This is a photo I took this morning. It was so quite... absolutely beautiful morning.

These palm trees are covered in jasmine.

Then I feed my little man breakfast when we get back. If we don't have a lot of errands to run or company over we go on another long walk. Our afternoon walk is after Jake's lunch. Sometimes he sleeps through the walk and other times if he's awake we go to the park at the end of our street.
I put my scarf under this face. He was so sleepy at this walk!
Brady enjoys the sun!
Awake during this walk. Jake loves to play with Brady. Brady loves to eat Jake's snacks that fall on the floor.

Can't complain about my life. I'm lucky to be a stay at home mom. I get to see everything happen with this little monster. Excited when it gets a little warmer we can go to the bay/beach!

Excited to celebrate Grant's birthday tomorrow. I love my handsome husband!
