A little bit of this... and a little bit of that.

This month has been a little crazy, because G has been out of town for business... A LOT! So, I've had to be creative with the things we do other than the usual... school, friends, sports, and church. I've had to mix things up to keep us all entertained...

Buddies at church.
We've gone to Disneyland... Here are the boys looking at the map. Where to next mom!?
Grocery store. Yes... Jake goes out and about with that cowboy hat on. He's loves it. :)
Park with friends. I brought bubbles to the park... I had every kid running after the bubbles... and me!
We do lots of arts and crafts... gardening, bubbles, reading, puzzles, blocks, you name it...
And we had lots of snuggle times.
And much more. I'm usually too busy chasing the boys to take pictures! ha ha. I guess you can say we've been keeping pretty busy! We're very happy to have Grant back home. We've missed him dearly!

Should we stay or should we go?

DISNEYLAND.

We just got our passes renewed... and BOOM! The news about Measles is everywhere. It's all over the news that it's spreading too. Some Disneyland workers are coming down with it now also.

We've been twice since the news has come out. We're all vaccinated. Should I stop going for the next few months to let things clear up? Or continue as usual?

My kiddos love Disneyland! It's such a fun thing to do for even just a few hours during the week/weekend. Should we all be furious that we have to be cautious because of other peoples choices? Or is this just part of life? It's the parents choice to make, but could their choices impact others?

Maybe I'm not as mad, because I don't currently have an infant. But, what if I had brought my infant there and then this news came out? I WOULD BE BEYOND LIVID! So... I guess we all have to make choices. I've made mine. I can't stay home with an infant/toddler until they've had all their shots. I hope this is eye opening to others.

It sure has been for me.

Here are a few Disneyland pics from 2 weeks ago.

Reflecting on time with family.

The last two weeks have been super fun! Having my parents here is so nice. I'm not used to having a whole lot of help, and I have to say... I got used to it. My parents are beyond helpful. My dad does stuff around the house, and plays sports with the boys, and my mom cooks, cleans, and loves on the boys. My brother, Dylan... well... is truly the best ever! To say my boys adore him is just the beginning. He's great with them. They are best buds. I'm so thankful for this time spent. It was truly wonderful having them here. My heart has hurt since they left, but I know we'll be seeing them soon!

They came into town on Christmas eve and left yesterday. We celebrated Christmas Eve, and Christmas at our home, and then packed up and headed down to San Diego at our time share for a few days.

It was a fun little getaway. Plus, we were able to spend time with my other brother who lives down south. The first day we hung out and Marty came over. The next day, my aunt, uncle, and cousin came down and we all went to dinner. It was really fun.
Games and puzzles.
I forget what this game is called. Ninja something... ha ha.

Family dinner on our last night.

Vacation naps are the best.

Dylan and Asher.
 My guys.
They adore him. This picture is one of my faves from this visit.
 Pop pop and Jake.
My sillies in their new PJ's.
 Ya Ya, Dylan, and Jake.
We watched the Fiesta Bowl... AND BOISE WON! GO BOISE STATE BRONCOS!
We got our passes renewed and took Dylan to Disneyland. My parents took Asher for lunch and toy shopping!
Then after Disneyland, we had Korean BBQ with the whole family. My uncle and aunt are also amazing. It's been so nice having them so close. They do a lot for my boys, Grant and I. I can always count on them, and look forward to all their visits. My cousins are also great boys. My sons are so lucky to have so many men to look up to!
I'm thankful for this family. I'm thankful for all the people that God has put in my life. It was a nice holiday for our family. Hope it was amazing for all of you too!

Cheers to 2015!

Christmas 2014

What a fun Christmas! I look forward to this season all year. I seriously do. I love all things fall/winter. This year I was so excited, so I started decorating the week before Thanksgiving. I know. I'm crazy. It made me so happy having it all up and glowing. Knowing my family comes into town also makes me incredibly happy.

This blog will just be on Christmas. I will blog more with other things we did and the new year in the next day or so. :)

My parents came into town on Christmas eve. We had dinner, wrapped presents, and relaxed. Christmas morning we woke up together, and opened presents. My uncle, aunt, and cousins came over around 10am, and they made an incredible brunch for us all. That night my mom made a huge dinner and we ate yet again. This time my friend Julie joined us. We ate great food and drank good wine. The kids were exhausted from such a fun day celebrating and playing with family. They went to bed early. We were able to stay up and share stories from the year. :)

Here's some pictures from the day. (Christmas Eve)
