I new before I even had kids that I wanted a little boy… I have had a name picked out since I was 6 years old. Not kidding!
The first time I watched Sixteen Candles I was 6 (I know… a little young… but none the less true). My Mom remembers me telling her that I wanted to Marry Jake Ryan. Since my Mom said I was a little young to get married, I told my Mom that I would name my son Jake. :) Now years later… I mean… years later… I still LOVE that name!
Grant knew if we had a boy that I wasn’t going to budge on this one. The good news is that Grant loves the name as well! I wanted the name to be very similar to his Daddy's so we kept Grant's middle name. Grant looks a lot like his Grandmother and Mother so we thought it was very appropriate to use there Maiden names.
Grant Bowman Stone and Brooke Ashley Stone will be the parents of:
Jake Bowman Stone

That is so awesome! And such a sweet story! My friend just had a baby and named him Jake...I love the name!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it!!!! Such a great name and I love that you are using Grant's middle name! And there is absolutely nothing wrong with naming your child after a movie...I've wanted to do it since I was a little girl too!!! :)
