35.5 weeks *Baby S*

Today has been a tough day. I went to my doctor's appointment and was told I'm officially on bed rest. This little munchkin is trying to make her appearance a little earlier than we all would like.

I knew my body was making changes, but I wasn't sure just how quickly.

She's estimated around 5 pounds and 12 ounces. The doctor couldn't get an exact measurement of her because her head is so low. And she's sunny side up ... just like Asher was. The average weight for this many weeks along is 5 1/2 pounds.

I'm 80-90% effaced, and 2 cm dilated. This is the scary part. I have been on partial bed rest, but not complete. Apparently, that hasn't been enough. The doctor wants this little one to cook for another week if possible. By looking at me, and knowing how quickly I progress, this might not be possible.

Jake progressed somewhat quickly, but was born at 38.5 weeks. He was 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and 19.5 inches. My water broke the night before my schedule cesarean. I was 90% effaced and 1 cm dilated a week before he was born.

Asher progressed very quickly. I was 90% effaced and 1 cm dilated 3 days before he was born. My water broke and when I arrived at the hospital I was 100% effaced, and 1 cm dilated. They thought I'd have all night to deliver him because I was only 1 cm dilated, but he came within 15 minutes of the epidural being administered. He was a successful VBAC. We had him in about 1 1/2 - 2 hours after being admitted to the hospital. No joke.

The doctor said when I start having 4-5 contractions in an hour she wants me to call and come to the hospital. She doesn't want me laboring at home at all. I haven't had super regular ones as of yet... so that is good. Or if my water breaks, I need to rush myself in there. No explanation needed with that one.

I know that God is in control. I trust that God has his plan for our daughter and I. If she comes early, she comes early. I will do my best to do nothing... which if you know me... is near impossible. But, It's necessary. I have talked to the boys, and have people that are able to help me. This will be a stressful week for us, but we will get through it. I can't believe I'll be meeting this little princess soon.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Love to you all!

Jake's 5th Birthday Party.

I totally forgot to post Jake's 5th birthday party. Oops! I just saw it on my drafts. Well, I will blog quickly about it since it was a month ago now.

Jake had a super fun birthday week. We went to an Ice Cream parlor with family on his actual birthday, and then celebrated at BouceU with friends. I loved seeing the kids run like crazy in a padded place! ha ha. They also had some guys helping the kids while the bounced. It was an easy birthday party for me at 7 months pregnant. And it's exactly what Jake wanted to do. SCORE!

Here are some pictures from his birthday week:
Lunch date with mommy and Asher:

Thank you for all that came and celebrated our first born's birthday. What great memories. :)

32.5 weeks // Countdown to our baby girl // Bumpdate

My first two pregnancies were so easy. I guess I just assumed that this one would be too. And for the most part it is. I literally never sit. I'm either running around at schools, doing things for the boys, or organizing the house, etc. Mainly it's running after and caring for the boys. Even though they are so amazingly helpful, they still ask a lot from mom. Food, activities, play dates, and so on.

My body is simply tired. Then at night... A little munchkin may join me and wake me up for the night. Or... the bathroom trips don't help. So.... where I may have been able to sit down for a second and close my eyes, it's non stop until bedtime.

I have irritable uterus. So, I get a large contraction that doesn't let up until I lay down. It's very painful. But, it also means I'm pushing myself too much. They usually happen at night. But, pending on the heat or what I've been up to, even early afternoon. On my last visit to the OB (last Friday), they did a fetal fibronectin test. To read more about that click on the following site: Fetal Fibronectin Test. It basically tests to see if I'm starting the process of labor. My test came back negative. Which means I tested negative on lining thinning, and I should be in the clear for the next 2 weeks. I'm no longer able to bathe the boys, and when I feel the pain coming on, I have to go lay down. My nighttime routine consists of laying around. Which is very difficult for me. I have figured out games and coloring actives I can do with the boys next to me laying down. Grant is super amazing, and such a good daddy/husband. He picks up the slack and helps me. :)

Our little girl moves like a gymnast. Acrobatic moves all day. Not just kicks... but, arms and legs rolling around all day. If I touch my stomach or anything does she bats it away.

I'm so very excited to be meeting her soon!

My stats to date:
32.5 weeks
18 lbs gained (This number will only increase quickly from this point on)
Still wearing some my regular clothes as well as maternity. I would just like to wear pajama pants all day if I could. ;)
New obsession: Honey Crisp apples with caramel sauce. YUM! And the apples have to be cold.
Ice cream, bean and cheese burritos, pasta, chicken pitas with feta cheese (pasteurized - relax people), and zucchini fries.
Baby room is complete expect drapes.
Clothes newborn - 6 months are washed. Working on 9-12 months.

Updated pic:
I go back to the doctor next Friday. Will update on my 34 week blog.
