Summer 2016 - Part ONE

This has been a great year for us. Jake started at his elementary school (TK), and will head to Kindergarten in the fall. Asher finished up another year of preschool, and will be back for his final year before he will head to elementary school as well. Next fall the boys will be in first and kinder. WOW. It feels like time went slow when I had a 17 month old and a newborn. Then all of a sudden once Jake turned 3, and started preschool, the time started flying by. People think I'm crazy when I say I miss the times both my babies were at home with me. With NO plans unless we made them. No obligations. Just babies and mommy time. I'm lucky I have this time with Scarlett now. But, I'm missing my baby boys. Good thing they still snuggle on their mommy and daddy. Sweet boys! It's also so incredible seeing them turn into little boys. I sometimes look at them, and can't believe I made these little people. They have the silliest conversations, and actually have so much to say... about EVERYTHING! They both are SO different, and bring so much joy. Adding Scarlett to our family was the icing on the cake. She is so sweet and sassy. She is already the boss of the boys. The boys just adore her, and the feeling is mutual. Nothing but craziness and love at the Stone house. ;)

Here is the beginning of our summer, starting off with Asher's spring/summer play. They were able to wear their PJ's and they sang the most adorable songs. Asher of course took it very serious. It was hilarious and super cute.
Asher and his teacher. We love her so.
Family.
Jake finished up his first year of elementary school. He had a great year meeting new friends, and had an outstanding teacher. It was great having Jake go into TK, before kinder. We got to see how the school operates, meet new kids (and parents), and get accustomed to how the next phase in our life with school will go. Its going to be hard saying good bye to the preschool, but we are excited for our children's future.

Here are the kids saying good bye on the last day of school. Such good buddies. We called these buddies, the "TK crew".
We've been to the movies...
Birthday parties...
SWIM CAMP! This was so awesome. TK crew had a fun week of swimming, crafts, and all around fun!
They even let Asher join in on the fun! Asher was stoked! Ash is 4 going on 13.
Happy hour playdate at the Stone house.
Swim lessons with Ms. Jill (more pics to follow on a different blog). This was Scarlett's first swim lesson. She was NOT a fan. We'll try again next year.
Summer part 2 coming next!

Scarlett Ann - NINE months

This has been a busy month. Between my mom and brother in town, doctor visits, fun summer activities, growing two bottom teeth, and taking first steps. This little love amazes me.

She's still in size 3 diapers, size 12 month clothes, eating puree foods, some solids, water, and breastfed. Nap schedules are a little tough because we are on the go so much. But, her usual naps are around 9am for about 1.5 hrs, and then again around 1:30pm for about 1.5 hrs again. She's going to bed around 7pm and waking once around 4am, and then 6:30am for the day.
Her stats from her 9 month baby well are:
Length: 29 3/4 inches (100%)
Weight: 17 lbs and 6 oz (45%)
Silly girl.
 Time with ya ya.
 Brother and sister.
 First time in the swing.

Scarlett Ann - EIGHT months

My sweet mommy's girl. I love you so! You are growing so fast, and learning so many fun (dangerous) things. You are almost walking! You cruise the furniture and take your little walker through the kitchen. You love to be with me. In fact, I cook almost every meal holding you. You are SO sweet. However, you can be pretty darn sassy as well.

We all adore you Miss. Scarlett. Here are some pictures from your eighth month.

Highlight from month 8... you got 2 bottom teeth! You got them in right before you turned 9 months.
First swim lesson. You weren't a fan. We will try again next year. :)
Your fan club. Jake 5.5, Asher 4, Scarlett 8 months.
Neighbor Emma.
Bay days with friends and family.
 Your friend Paisley.
 You LOVE broccoli.
Bay days are so fun! Your all over the place.
 Bath time baby.
Getting around the house.

Scarlett Ann - SEVEN months

And just like that... SEVEN MONTHS! Wow!

I have been so busy with all three that I haven't blogged for a few months. I've got Scarlett all caught up, and my next blogs will be about the boys, and what we've been up to.

Seeing Scarlett grow is truly magical. Becoming a little girl before my eyes. Its going even faster this time around. Perhaps its also because we have 3 kiddos 5 and under? ha! Such a busy time in our life. I wouldn't change it for the world. Even though I'm up with her... I'm with her. I get snuggles, and I'm certainly taking it all in. She completes our family.

Sleep training isn't going. I just lay her down... and she goes to bed. BUT, then she wakes up two times in a night. Eventually, I'll get tired and sleep train properly. I just hate doing it. I'm hoping she will just do it on her own. Until then, I'm taking in our alone and quite late night moments.

She is growing leaps and bounds. Already wearing size 12 months. She's just as long as her brothers, but is lighter in weight. Eating 2x a day (solids), and still breastfeeding.

Scarlett is the cutest little girl I've ever seen... I know I'm partial... but, there it is.

Letter to my daughter

Scarlett Ann,

You are the most precious thing I have EVER laid eyes on. It has taken me up until now to really believe you are actually here. I used to look at you and stare. I couldn't believe I had a little girl. I have dreamed about you since the moment I found out that I was pregnant. I knew you were a girl from that moment. I just had that feeling. When I had my 13 week ultrasound the doctor said she was pretty confident in saying you were a girl. I rushed over to where your father was working to show him the ultrasound and tell him. He smiled from ear to ear. You are our little princess.
I had a dream about you while I was pregnant. My dream was that your daddy was rocking you to sleep, and laid you down in your crib. You were wrapped in a yellow blanket, had dark straight hair, and had dimples. It was a peaceful and sweet dream. And when you were born you had dark straight hair, dimples, and the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Your hair is getting lighter, and it's very similar to Jake's. You are a combination of both brothers.
When I first laid eyes on you I thought you were perfect. My daughter. That never gets old saying. Everyone in this house adores you. Your brothers wake up and come directly to you. Kisses and hugs every morning, and through out the day. Your daddy holds you so proud! And there aren't enough words to describe my love for you.
You are SO verbal. Lots of babbling. And so incredibly loud. You have a voice. You love your kisses and snuggles. It's my favorite thing we do. You lean in to receive hugs and kisses... and make the sweetest sounds. You have the sweetest little noises since the day you were born. I remember telling your father how much I loved hearing your little sounds.

Sassy. That is you. Full of spirit! I have a feeling your going to run circles around these boys. You go crawling towards them, and try and follow them through the house also. Your already cruising furniture, and moving throughout the house. It won't be long until your walking. That makes me nervous. You crawl off... you'll look back at me, and continue on. Independent little one.
Brady and Lexi (our dogs) love you so much. You love them as well. You show your love by laying on them, pulling up on them, and pulling their hair. They're so patient with you. They lick you and lay next to you. Brady is the best. With all our babies. He's so protective.

You have the biggest smile, cutest dimples, and a contagious laugh. I hope to teach you a love for God, strength, loyalty, and love. I want you to know that no matter what, I'll always love you and be here for you.
Thank you for entering to my life dear little one. I love and adore you.

You are my sunshine,
Mommy
